“Imogene Drummond believes that deep cultural change can emerge when we understand that our primary context is not political, religious, racial, or gender-related, but that we are all part of an evolving universe. During her time as an artist-in-residence at Airgentum International Artists Residency, Imogene explored the question: ‘How can my art help people experience that they are part of the Universe?’
To this end, Imogene had a solo show entitled Connecting Castilblanco with the Cosmos in Castilblanco, Spain. It featured an interactive video installation in which people moved through the exhibit space and saw imagery of their local landscape mixed with the cosmos projected onto themselves. Mirrors, in which the participants saw themselves at one with the cosmos, symbolized consciousness.”
